Round 1 Got off to a great start and finishing front 9 on -7 i had high hopes for a really good round, but yet again it wasn't to be, played tee to green well but lost count how many putts just wouldn't drop on the back 9, tail of 2 halves. Pleased with a clean card. Got to say what a beautiful course.

Round 1 - Yes Ian, I was wondering where they'd gone?! LOL What possessed me to select a course with so much water I have no idea!! It was a miracle that I only got wet once, that was on the 5th and cost me 2 strokes. I think I covered the whole range of swing timing today and to say I struggled would be a massive understatement!! I did have one good hole though, the par 5 16th where I drained a 47-foot eagle putt. I think it's going to be a long week - but what a great course, so much work has gone into it, absolutely amazing...

Mississippi Round 1 (Ironfall 2) Very nice course, I think quite a popular choice on TGC I remember playing it. Bob still in “Holiday Mood” as he set very reasonable conditions for round 1…….BUT see Round 2 conditions 🤔🫣😱🤯!!! clearly when Bob feeling “liverish” 😤😡 Seemed quite tame early on, but found the sand at the Par 5 4th……a sign of a good fortune day when the sand flop went in for an Eagle, and I managed to avoid the water on 5 (saw a few balls in there!) However, the “water fairy” got me at 7😡(she gets you eventually!) when going for the “sucker” pin…..better learn for following rounds🧐. Another stroke of good fortune when I managed “up and down” from the drop in the rough to make par….whew😛 Very pleased -8 (net -4) front 9 Back 9 less drama although par sand save at the tough Par 4 12th very welcome😊 Came in with a string of birdies with great care on last few holes. Very happy with the final score. Need a stiff drink and a sleep before the tough round 2 though, Mel

Round 2 I'm not a lover of this combination of settings and always seem to play negatively for some reason, anyhow i had an up and down round and being -3 thru 16 with all the negative play i could have handled that, however a mis judged tee shot on 17 in the greenside water i tried twice to get over it with what i thought was plenty club and it just didn't go and landed back in the water, ended up with a quad. Nice way to put yourself out the event for this week. What a knacka.

No kidding Les look at this mess After this round I went looking for a new putter - Mine fell in the water somehow (damn my elbow hurts) I may have found one I can actually control

Round 2 - yet another up and down journey, but this one had a very happy ending. Very shaky start, then a chip-in bird on #6 settled me down a bit. Played solidly for the next few holes, made some good par saves, then another birdie on #14 had me dreaming of a level par round. What happens next? I pushed a 4-foot par putt on #15 and dropped a shot. Angry wasn't the word!! Next up, the par 5 16th. Told myself to find the fairway - which I did, and the green was reachable. Took my trusty 1-iron out of the bag, hit the ball sweetly, and watched in awe as it rolled into the cup for a DOUBLE-EAGLE!!! (Shot saved if you want to watch it LOL) What is it they say - a squirrel sometimes finds some nuts?! On #17 I went for the green and just missed, but grabbed a birdie, then finished off with another one on #18. Bloody hell, this game exhausts me sometimes!!! Gross 70, net 71, I'm a happy bunny...

Some days (real golf or games) you feel maybe you should leave your clubs 🏌️♂️at home, and go for a walk🚶♂️Instead😂 Round 2 at Ironfall started very well, with an Eagle at 1 and birdie at 3…..seems a good day? Messed up at 5 but par save was welcome. However shots just not going where I wanted….😠 Meant dropped shot at 6, birdies followed to give hope again. Back 9 missed opportunities on Par 5s. Probably should be satisfied with -8 (even par H/C ) but playing another round at Local Golf Clubs just as erratic with 2 bogies….so maybe a walk would have been a good idea……😂🤣 All good fun Mel
