I really think we need to look at this guy's Handicap - I believe some adjustments are necessary

So, to ME scores don't mean anything here, that's why I personally like the concept of playing against the pros. I am 70 years old now - lost 1/2 my left lung, a lot of my small intestine and the vision in my left eye to cancer - BUT I did play at a very good level in my day, so I RESPECT the game of golf. As you can tell we jab at each other here and keep the conversations lite. Anyone that decides to change that concept I will simply ban. Every real pro in the world would lower their handicap by 5 or 6 strokes - if they could walk up the fairway, check the ground set the wind and then hit the perfect perfect T shot every time, then get to the green and have a few lines showing them the break and the slope and be able to zoom in on the break, and have the same consistently in all the bunkers. Thats why Bob and I tested a ton of settings before we decided on these. Most of 2019 courses like real golf course designers did not ever imagine the average drive to be 320 yards, the actual average driver distance on the senior tour is 274 yards. If I feel good, I can still shoot a good score, but those days are very rare now - example I have been real sick this week - very shacky (chemo is a bitch) Just my 2 cents

Hi Ian, Sorry to hear of your health problems. I do understand and have had some of the issues you describe, although managed to avoid chemo after cancer, and currently recovering from surgery before more in the new year. I do agree with your point about real golf. My best H/C was 14 some 12 years ago, (only started 5 years earlier) but now in my 74th year, those days are well behind. However handicaps (19 now) in golf allow almost all golfers to compete, (still have bandits 😱) and you and Bob have done a great job setting up and running this excellent club. I think both concepts “gaming” and here are great and are complimentary depending on how you want a bit of play time. I used to run a handicap system at the Skypeople WGT golf club, with a pro board of the same name. It does demand both time, and patience! Not everyone agrees with how things are done….but, as you say everyone can choose what suits them, and we can accept different views. I found WGT became a boring technique (with limited courses, and could be costly to play well) and much prefer my old mouse with backwards and forwards movement, requiring some control in PGA 2019. I have never even tried a controller, which I guess are popular in golf games these days. I hope your health holds up, and the new year brings steady progress. I have not been able to play golf since problems in September, and can’t wait to be able (hopefully) to play again in the new year. Best regards Mel (Martin)

Agreed, it's like everything else in life, you deal with it the best you can - I use this game now as an escape from the real world for an hour or so, and as you can tell I do a ton of images keeps my hand eye coordination somewhat under control.
My recreation at home is jig saw puzzles again hand eye coordination, hate going home and staring at another computer screen - I used to be a fan of the news, but man it's all so negative now I don't even watch much of that anymore.
It seems these news stations would rather beat each other up instead of just reporting the news.

Round 3 - My practice round was horrible, timing issues all the way round, so I wasn't looking forward to this round. Had to fight my swing on every hole, but at the turn I'd managed to avoid any dropped shots plus grabbed a birdie with a slice of good fortune on #7. My putting was a revelation, made some great saves. On the back my swing improved, made two more birdies, both on a par 5, but made bogey on #16 after making sure my tee-shot was dry and found the trap over the green. Just got to hold it together for one more round - my knees are knocking already LOL...

Some excellent scoring Ian, and very solid Bob. Just back from weekend with grandchildren (good fun watching them both play footie Sunday morning…..grandson’s team lost 5-1 and granddaughter’s team lost 10-1. However she made a great save when her turn in goal, and scored the only goal…..so she was happy👍

Round 4 - Didn't look at the Round 4 leaderboard before I started, figured that would put me under pressure from the off, decided I'd just go out and play and see what happened. Had a setback on #4 when I had a brainfart and 4-putted, but soon got the shots back. Hit the ball well off the tee, but approaches weren't close enough to the pins. Started the back well but a silly bogey on #15 knocked me back. Finished well but will it be enough? Gonna update the leaderboard now...
