It's Torrey Pines South this week - not one of my favourite courses so not expecting too much from myself.
Good luck chaps!!!

I do think there was ever a test as tuff as this US open - If you remember Tiger and Rocco went 18 holes of playoff and Tiger won on the first hole of sudden death, and I believe with a broken bone in his leg. This very demanding golf course and murder if the wind gets up. I also believe it was Torrey Pines where Patrick Reed - moved his ball in the rough - saying it was embedded Happy to finish 1 under - going to be a difficult week I think.

ROUND 1Had the ideal start with a chip-in bird on the 1st, then was lucky enough to find a straight putt for bird on the 2nd. Two more birdies completed an excellent front and I was cruising after two more birds on #10 and #14. But then a loose chip on #15 saw a shot dropped, but two late tweeters provided an added boost. I'm sure it's going to get harder...

Round 1
If I can keep from giving back birds it would help.

Good luck with the chemo Ian, hope it's not too draining mate!!ROUND 2Hit the ball sweetly in this round, and putted well too. Sank a 30-footer on the 2nd for bird but missed a very good eagle chance on the 6th and had to settle for another birdie. On the 7th I holed out from a greenside bunker and negotiated the back nine in under par for a solid performance.

ROUND 3Had to rush this round (and Round 4) as I'm away for the weekend, so very pleased to finish under par. Did something I haven't done for a long time - forgot to change my club on the par 3 8th which cost me a bogey. Bagged a birdie on #14 with a chip-in and generally played well. Now for Round 4...

ROUND 4Inaccurate driving meant more scrambling which, in turn, resulted in a very mixed card. Had a birdie chip-in on #7 and a par save chip-in on 8, and needed a birdie on #18 to get back to level par. A good week's work but I still don't enjoy this course much...
