ROUND 1After a birdie on #6 I came to the short par 3 7th. Plonked my tee in the middle of the green - then proceeded to 5-putt!!! I finished the front and took a break! Came back to it tonight and scrambled back to under par - different day, different mindset, different result! Never played this version of the course but it's quite pleasant...

 Well, I decided to play a practice round which I hardly ever do.It was great, one bogie the whole round......... Weeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rd 1,
I stepped off the cart on the first hole with high ambitions, unfortunately I used up all my common sense in the practice round  First bogie was a tap in that didn't make it, only a few inches... Lowering my head in discuss I followed with 3 or 4 more straight bogies...... All putting errors!
After that, I threw the caddie in the Pacific and went home 
We'll see if I can clean it up the rest of the way ??

Randy never ever play a practice round they are never the same as the real thing - deeeeeep breaths - I was doing real well until the cart girl bent over to pick up a napkin she dropped and oh my I totally lost my focus - every bunker after that looked like well use your imagination and they drew me in sigh |

I did have better luck on restart. Nice chip-in on #7 from the sand for bird but fell back into my putting groove. Ringed the hole on my bogey putt on #12 with concern setting in. Another one of those tap in's from 12 inches that went 4 inches, my finger slipped off the toggle.
On to round 2

Much better Randy, keep up the improvement buddy!!ROUND 2A much steadier round from me, apart from the opening hole, and a priceless eagle on the last drew me level with Ian. Another tourney that's coming to the boil nicely...

ROUND 3Just like Round 1 and Round 2 I messed up one hole - today it was the 8th where I 4-putted. Apart from that I had a solid round, making some good putts and never really getting into any trouble. Now I just have to hold off the Old Master in the final round...

Round 3 Well like I said in the opening me and this course have never gotten along - why I have no idea - I would like to blame the PC, weather, sun, wind, rain BUT I can't just simply poor play on my part a triple and a double simply derailed me again why I have no idea, I love the course it just gets in my head and out come the very slows and shitty putting oh well onward  |

ROUND 4This must rank as my best ever round at Pebble. Messed up one hole again but it made little difference to my score - on the very next hole I put my approach to within 11 inches of the pin. I saved the best until the 18th though. Tried to make the green with my second but only got as far as the nearside bunker. My third from the sand was perfect and found the bottom of the cup for an eagle!!

I also had one of my better ball placement day's with most coming within 5 to 10 feet.
Unfortunately, My putter............Well, anyway .......................
My round would be a good one to watch and count the numerous mistakes made during the round.
I did end up even !
