ROUND 1After an unpredictable front nine I found a purple patch at the beginning of the back nine. Note - there is a par 3 on the front that I could not reach from the tee, but I still parred it!! Not sure if my score is good or bad, but it's under par so it can't be too bad...

ROUND 2Sprayed the ball around a bit today and found a lot of bunkers. Chipped in on #3 but then messed up on #7 and #8. Pulled back to level par but 3 poor shots on #18 saw me card a deserved bogey. Not too bad for a Pin 4 round though...

The only way is to learn from your mistakes Randy!!
Unless Ian can suggest a way to improve your play with the flat stick!!

ROUND 3Had mixed fortunes on the front and, seeing Ian's score, knew I had to cut out any silly mistakes to maintain my lead. I managed to do that on the back, parring every hole, but had a close call on the 15th after finding a fairway trap a long way from the green. Had to play out with a 7-iron and get a pitching-wedge pitch close to save my par. Missed a few birdie putts but the greens weren't as easy as expected with Pin 1. Just need to survive one more round...

ROUND 4Had a great start with 3 birds in the first 4 holes, and sank a 38-footer on the 4th. Then 2 par putts lipped out and a poor putt on #9 ruined all my good work. On the back my putting touch completely deserted me and 2 triples threatened to let Ian catch me, but I held my nerve on the final 2 holes - even though I bogeyed #18! Still don't like the course much so I'm glad we're moving on...
