Philadelphia CC this week - never played the course before so looking forward to it!!

ROUND 1Not the best of starts but eventually settled down. Made a good putt on #6 for bird, then sank a very good downhiller on #7 for another. Began to tune in to the pace of the greens and carded another birdie on #9. Holed a 13-footer on #11 to gain another shot and I was feeling very confident with every putt by now. 2-putted on #12 to draw level with Ian, but then my first driving error cost me a shot on #13. A perfectly played 14th earned another bird, a feat I repeated on #16. Negotiated the final 2 holes to stay 1 ahead of Ian.
I love playing these old, obscure courses - every hole is a new adventure and makes you use those little grey cells!!! LOL

Played better today. Hit the ball with more authority and all areas of my game were good, even though I had 2 putting failures. Approaches were a lot better as demonstrated by my 9 birdies. Safe to say I'm enjoying this course - at the moment...

ROUND 3Strangely I very rarely get any Very Fasts any more - no idea why!! Another solid round, only made 1 mistake, that was on the 13th with a wedge approach and cost me a shot.
