ROUND 1Birds were difficult to come by on the front and I only managed to grab 1. Played the back nine later which didn't work out well, but a couple of late birds helped me salvage an even par round. Good greens!!

ROUND 2Getting over a nasty cold so couldn't have wished for a better round on my return. Unusually for me I played the par 3's very well, helped me close the gap on that wily old Canadian bastard who wins everything...

ROUND 3The battle certainly is on now!! Although I really should have been going into the final round level with Ian but I failed to birdie #18. Sunk a 30-footer on #14 but my start to the round hurt me today. Round 4 should be a real blast - and this course is playing to these conditions so well...

ROUND 4
Tough round! The wind seemed even stronger than usual and that, combined with my failure to find the pace of the greens, resulted in a real struggle. Had to perform miracles to reach the turn at +1, but failed to take advantage of opportunities on the back. Very frustrated as my old mate has now won again!! Only by 2 strokes but may as well have been 22 LOL. Thought the course played superbly too...
