ROUND 1What a blast!! Battled well on the front and was rewarded on the 9th when my 95-yard third shot spun back into the cup for an unlikely birdie!! Missed chances on #14 and #15 but then on #16 I nearly holed my second but left a tap-in birdie. On #17 my monster birdie putt settled agonisingly on the edge of the cup, and on #18 I almost holed a birdie chip. I love the final four holes here, they are so different and a real challenge. Whatever happens this week I'm going to enjoy my golf here - as usual...

Hang in there Ian! best wishes with your treatment, try to have fun on the course even if it is on a computer screen!
Round 1 - Fun course.. I think...
Round 2 - I don't know how but I found a groove and just put the pedal down! I saved myself (or just lucky) a few times with (I think) 2 chip ins.
Round 3- I knew I'd need all those strokes from round 2! tough day out there, just had to grind through it.

I'm starting to look like Scottie Scheffler out on the greens! LOL. best of luck to everyone else on the final 2 rounds, Ill be cheering for ya!

ROUND 2Almost eagled the 1st hole but grabbed 2 birds straight after. Played quite solidly apart from 2 holes where I dropped shots. A few birdie putts went very close but, on the whole, I'm satisfied with the round. No disasters yet...

ROUND 3
The front nine was a tough battle, the highlight of which was a 54-foot birdie putt unexpectedly dropping on the 4th. Level par at the turn - first mission accomplished. Still level when I came to the 'Big 5', the final 5 holes. I must have been inspired by them, grabbing 4 birds and 1 bogey for yet another Net 69. I have a real chance now...

ROUND 4
My game wasn't quite there today, I struggled the whole way round. Highlight was sinking another long putt for birdie, this time a 50-footer on the 12th. I needed a late barrage of birdies, as in Round 3, but it didn't happen, mainly due to the more difficult pins I think. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the week at Quail Hollow, as I always do - it's such a terrific course!!
Don't know when I'll be making an appearance next. Off to Australia on Wednesday for 8 weeks, but I will try to fit in some golf somewhere!
