ROUND 1Never really liked this course - not a huge variety of holes, a lot of long, straight-ish par 4's, always found it pretty uninspiring. Anyway, it made a nice change to see several putts drop today. I've had a hard time on the greens lately, maybe this will be a turning point...

totally lost all feel for the game today - plagued with very fasts - saw more wood than a squirrel

round 1 - I know this course isn't anything special as far as layout but it does require you to be on your A game every hole, narrow fairways with plenty of trees really punish those errant shots. this course is all about your approach and proximity to the hole, yes its not difficult to recover and save par from the rough but your best birdie attempts start by a clean lie in the fairway to have max control into the green. easier said than done but I'm happy with my start.
round 2 - that wind really made it a challenge and more often than not made holes play much longer. I kept my head down and focused shot by shot. really nothing exciting but at least I didn't hurt my self today.

ROUND 3My approaches lacked accuracy which put pressure on my putting. And with very fast greens something had to give, and it happened on the 10th where I carded a triple. Damage had already been done on the 3rd, where finding water with an ambitious second cancelled out a birdie-birdie start. Another shot went on the par 3 15th, the result of a fatally slow swing - in fact, a bogey was a good outcome. Anyway, I survived and still have a chance...

ROUND 4Was having a great outward nine until I left a par putt tantalisingly short on the monster 9th hole. Got the shot back on #13 but also missed a couple of good birdie chances. Disaster finally struck on the monster par 5 16th. Played my third with a pitching wedge and looked on in disbelief as it bounced back into the pond - and a double-bogey followed. Missed a birdie half-chance on #17, then overhit my 57-foot birdie putt on #18 and failed to drop the par putt coming back. Very disappointing finish to what was looking like a potentially winning round!!
