Hi everyone, I'm Valcanna and new to the society, arriving via TGCtours. I'm very weak at the game but I hope to have fun and improve. Greetings from Italy

Hi Valcanna!! I'm in the UK but I love Italy and have visited several times. Which part of Italy do you live in? I have been to most parts!
Welcome to PLAYTOURGOLF. Don't worry about being 'weak' at the game - we have our own handicap system which will give you a good chance.
What name would you like me to use on the leaderboards? I do not like using 'nicknames' like Valcanna!!
If you have any questions, just ask!!

Buongiorno Roberto!!
My wife and I stayed at Argegno on Lake Como for one month in 2016 - a wonderful place!
I took my car to a garage just outside Milan to have it serviced - that is the closest I have been to the city!
Inter are doing well I see - but a tough game against Fiorentina this week!!

welcome Roberto - My name is Ian and my gamer name is altaedm - from Alberta Canada We all play this game for fun and have a very good handicap system so you will be as competitive as anyone here after your 8th game the handicap system kicks in. Bob has done an amazing job setting up and following the many professional tours over the years and we hope to continue as long as we have players that want to play. Some of us have been playing online golf since Bob was in diapers (oh my god what a site that would have been) we call him the "mean Boss" but he is just a big old pussy cat Have fun enjoy the game and if have any questions feel free to ask. Ian

Welcome Roberto! You'll improve your game in no time, we all struggled (and continue to struggle) on this tour. my best tips would be: use your putter (gives you the little down arrow) to aim and get your lines before each shot. take note of Wind speed, green firmness and green speed at every start of a round; use practice rounds and adjust settings to learn the ranges of wind speeds at each level (low, medium, high, very high), this will help you adjust yardages and get an idea how offline the wind will push the ball. green firmness will make holding greens more difficult, green speed obviously effects putting speed and honestly that's the biggest skill to learn (I struggle 90% of the time putting). Also, this helped me tremendously, you can expect every 30 feet of elevation change to = approx 10yds +/- of your shot (30 feet higher = club will carry -10 yds, 30 feet below = club will carry +10 more yards)(idk if you use feet/yds or meters so you can convert that to meters if needed).
I personally also play in 2 other societies for practice and fun (honestly these might be the last 3 active societies LOL), Old Duffer's Paradise G.C and Bamboo Club.
