Lets just call it lack of interest - giving 12 shots to the field - use this week as a change in clubs and a practice week

ROUND 1Slow start for me, mainly due to having an ice-cold putter. Lost count of the number of putts under 10 feet that I missed. On the positive side I had no dropped shots. Don't know how accurate this course is compared to the real thing, but I thought it played very well. Nice to see lots of spectators too - how much money did we take on the gates Ian??!

round 1 - started off hot on the front 9. was able to stick em close and finally drained some birdie putts. back 9 brought me back down to earth right away but I was able to string a few birdies in, pin placement on 17 really screwed me up, I believe it was on a bit of a mound and I ended up 3 putting but I was able to escape without anymore damage on 18.
Round 2 - Wind seemed to pick up or at least the direction, battled a lot of cross wind blowing my approaches off line which caused plenty of long putts that I had to take my medicine and settle for 2 putt pars (with the exception of #11). The birdie attempts were very hard to come by and the ones I did convert were well deserved long putts. this round could have been way worse, #18 played like a par 5 with the wind and could be a round killer with the hazards, leaving with a par is very impressive in my book!

ROUND 2Had a dream start and then missed an ace on #8 by 12 inches. Looking good after 2 more birdies and I was playing well. Then I was ambushed on #16 when I inexplicably had 2 (!!!) Very Slow downswings and did well to card a triple bogey. Sank a good putt on #17 to get one back, and decided I couldn't reach the 18th green in regulation so laid up. Couldn't get down in 2 so dropped the shot I'd pulled back on #17. An eventful round but still very enjoyable - except for that 16th hole...

ROUND 1 took the boss man around with me looking for some tips but all i got was "dont eat the snow where those huskies go" from him, anyhow had a good round for a change, one snot spoilt the clean sheet but 3 birdie finish was a bonus. Still got the yips on my tempo but had better control over it this round. Lets see what happens next round.

ROUND 3Didn't have the best of luck on the greens, left a few on the edge, and a couple of chips went very close. The more I play this course the more I appreciate and enjoy it. Came good at the end with 3 birds in the last 4 holes so I'm quite content and relishing the final round...

ROUND 4Very pleased to go under par in this round, in the worst possible conditions probably. Enjoyed the course a lot more than I thought I would too.
