ROUND 1Didn't realise there were a lot of flat greens on this course and it obviously helped the scoring. My game wasn't quite there on the front, but then I started to find my distances and lines on the back. Even managed to chip in for eagle on #14 which was a nice bonus. Bogey-free too which was pleasing. Always enjoyed this course and this week could be no exception...

Round 1 - Nice course to shake off the rust from the holidays! as usual my putting held me back this round.
Round 2 - didn't start out the way I hoped, missed a few easy birdie attempts and had the bogey bringing me back to even thru 5. I settled in and didn't even realize I had 2 eagles by the end of the round.

ROUND 2Conditions were far too easy today. Found no trouble at all, nabbed an eagle and loads of birdies - not a very interesting challenge. But that could change over the weekend...

ROUND 3Only one stain on my card and that came on the par 5 11th after my misguided drive found water. Apart from that I'm very pleased, especially with my putting. Looking good...

Suspected Ian would produce something special to put me under pressure, and I was right. But my game held up, especially my putting which was very pleasing, and my game now is at a completely different level...
