ROUND 1Should have had a practice round - haven't played this course for a very long time. Forgot how many raised greens there were, or just banks protecting the greens. Anyway, only had one early bogey and I settled down quite well after that. Very pleased with the back nine, especially the finishing holes. Could be a fun week - could!!

Round 1 - I must agree with bob, (although I've never played this course before) I should have played a practice round.. good luck if your approach is on the wrong side of one of those spines/ridges. started off shakey but found my footing and things were looking good until the par 3 17th, initially had a cross wind which decided to change into more of a tail wind which sailed my ball, it took a few bounces and thought I might be safe until I realized the back side is sloped into the water which it ultimately found.

Jck - you are correct the map on this course is of no value - the trick is hit where the game aims you and adjust for wind |

ROUND 2Played very steadily, all aspects of my game worked well. Annoyingly I bogeyed the monster par 3 16th when my internet connection dropped out and I had a 'very slow' off the tee - weird one. Anyway, still in contention and enjoying the course - great variety of holes here!

round 2 - more struggles.. front nine went ok, got myself out of a few jams. back nine started bad but I powered through until #15 which totally deflated me and I limped across the finish.

round 3 - able to reset my mind and expectations. just wanted to have fun, which I did. the results were much better and I redeemed myself on #15 and #18.

round 4 - I don't know if it was luck, but I cruised through the firm and fast greens. my short game was on point and seemed like the fast greens made them a bit easier to navigate. but ya I had a lot of luck.

ROUND 3A very satisfactory round - apart from the par 3 16th again, where a careless par putt cost me a stroke. That hole is fast becoming my nemesis!! Round 4 will be interesting!!

ROUND 4
One birdie, one bogey, 15 pars - and a disastrous double-bogey on my nemesis, that monster par 3 16th. Scrambled a bit but couldn't hole any putts today, just when I needed to. Have to say it's an excellent course though, and I will get the better of that 16th hole eventually...
