Our fifth event, and we have a fifth different winner!! Many congratulations to LES SOUTER, whose final round 63 gave him a four-stroke victory over his nearest rival, Bob Fletcher, who at one time looked as if he may overhaul Les's winning total but whose challenge faded on the back nine on the final day. Larry Ziegler claimed third spot, just ahead of a group of 'guest' players. Les's 63 was the equal best of the tournament, Hans Kunok having also carded the same score in Round 3. Our next stop is the Arizona desert and the Scottsdale National Golf Club for the 1970 Tucson Open. Thanks to those who played - we hope to see you all in Arizona!    |
