Fisheye Bay is a lovely course, perfect for getting over the trauma of last week...

...or so I thought gggrrrrr. Round 1Struck the ball well, unusually for me my approaches were pretty good mostly, and I was enjoying my round. I was a little unlucky with my bogey on #8, but got it back on #13 and looked set for a good start. On #17 my 4-foot par putt didn't turn when it should have and lipped out - but worse was to come. Played a couple of stupid shots on #18, finding water both times, and took a triple to wipe out all my earlier good work. I'm seething... but loving the course.

Round 1What can happen when you can see the putts instead of breaking 3 ways before it gets to the hole!

round 1 - nice course, seems like it should play well no matter the conditions. nicely placed bunkers/hazards that can be navigated but can/will punish you if you mishit or make a mistake, I can see more of these obstacles will be in play if the wind picks up. I felt I played well, perhaps my last 2 rounds helped me focus on proximity to the pin which left me with a lot of manageable putts for birdie looks (my average for the round was 21 ft), although not all of them fell (birdie conversion was only 45%, so plenty of room to improve), it left me with easy clean ups that kept the me rolling.

Round 2 - Didn't play my best, shanked a couple shots and my tempo was not dialed in at all. my putting tempo and speed were dialed in pretty well, now if only I could aim better! I didn't hurt myself but it will be a tough hill to climb back into contention.

Round 3 - This was a fun round despite the outcome not being what I hoped for. I did much better striking the ball, but putting aim continued to haunt me causing back to back bogeys on the back from short (within 5 ft probably) par attempts. got into trouble on 18 with my drive taking a bad bounce and rolled into the water, was able to recover nicely to save par, could have be disastrous!

R3. A tin cup moment on 12 with 3 chips that landed just short and rolled back to my feet. Don't get behind the pin there.

R4. Lost my patience, .... and I don't care much for slow greens.

Round 1 Was struggling with my game for 14 holes making a few good saves but came to life on last 4 holes, unfortunately missing a very makeable birdie on 18. Satisfied with score after the way the round went.

Round 2. At last a decent putting and chipping round, ( must have been the uninstall and re install i did this week) Over the toon with this round been a long time coming. Probably back to reality looking at round 3 settings.

Round 3 Very pleased with my score on my less favourite conditions, especially on the back 9 when i made a lot of par saves thru holes 11 to 17, those could have very easily been red numbers and been a disastrous round.
