Well, Christmas is over and we're into the New Year, which means it's time to hone that swing and get out on the tour courses again!!
I'm still trying to get used to my new laptop so I'm not expecting anything special from myself this week.

Round 1 - Had a real mixed bag of a round, saved by an eagle on #15. Putting was average, chipping was good, approaches were poor in the most part. Not a bad course at all I think, scoring may be easier in subsequent rounds...

Round 2 - Another difficult round. Course didn't do me any favours, every time an approach hit the green my ball either bounced or rolled AWAY from the pin - I suppose I was just landing them in the wrong place. The one time I had some luck was on the monster par 4 9th when my long approach clattered the flagstick to leave a straightforward (even for me!) birdie putt. The wind wasn't really a problem, it was my swing I was fighting - and I lost again hehe...

Round 3 - One of those rare rounds when my putter appeared to acquire magical properties. Left a couple of on-line birdie putts just short early on but made up for it later. Really happy with my ball-striking too, kept a fairly good swing rhythm right through the round. In with a chance of some Charles Schwab Cup points if I can repeat this kind of performance in Round 4...

Round 3 What a struggle! The greens were a guess, I couldn't control the putts confirming 2 or 3 double buggers, ouch-ola!!!! Forgot to change the driver out on 13 dam it !  |

Round 4 - Began well with a fine bird on #1, but those swing timing issues returned to haunt my round. Rallied on the back 9, making some good saves along the way, but finally messed up on #18. Very good course and not a bad performance overall from me - it's just that elusive timing that is the problem!!
