Round 1,not a clean card. These early tee times don't agree with me at all, think I was sleepwalking for the first 2 holes!! Didn't do too badly after that, missed some putts as usual, nothing catastrophic - until I reached the 14th. That pin is dangerous, as I found out to my cost, dropping 5 strokes there, SO BEWARE if you are yet to play this round!! Loved the early morning lighting on the course, but hated the greens...

Not sure if I'll finish this week after coming to 12 at -5 then taking a 12 on hole 14 trying to get the ball to stay on the green........
I'll let the emotions cool down.

Just to confirm - Round 1 is the fastest the greens will be all week, they will be slower for Pin 4. I just hope the pin positions are fair and not placed on steep slopes...

Round 2 - Enjoyed this round a lot more, didn't spot any designer flaws at all. If only I'd sunk the 4 or 5 putts I should have sunk, very annoying!!

I would call this an "up and down" round except I forgot how to get up and down. Not exactly a clean card.  Many months since I have played any computer golf, and I have some rust to knock off, but I had enough good holes to keep things interesting. Maybe I can improve in R2. Appointment tomorrow at the clinic, so it may be a day or two before I can play again.  |

 Winterstone Rd 1 and Rd 2 In a rush this week, lots to do before going to spend a week with the grandchildren, so trying to squeeze 4 rounds in before I run out of time I hope to add Rd 3 and Rd 4 later today (Wednesday) as I don’t want a “dawn” round Thursday before we go…. My wife does not appreciate me on the PC when presents to wrap and packing to do……😱🫣😵💫😳🤕 Anyway Round 1 seemed fairly gentle……until the “dreaded 14” NASTY slopes on the green🤯🤬 Eagle finish made tea taste better😊 Round 2 tough (for me at least) something not right with putting as, like Bob, I seemed to miss anything over 10 feet. 14 behaved😊…..but this round 16 was my nemesis 🥺😤 18 at least gave be a solid finish, but only “net par” Not making much inroads this week Mel Attachments:

Rushed to get Rd 3 and Rd 4 before my wife “calls a halt” 🫣😱🏌️♂️👎 and my contributions to packing etc get completed before we travel to London to spend almost a week away.   Round 3 my best effort -11 took a lot of concentration in a little time 😲🤯😳🤣, at least 14 didn’t “kill” this round….it was evil in round 2…as Bob found as well. Round 4 ….pure evil🥴😲😵💫😳🤬…..Bob must have had some indigestion 🤢 before setting conditions……💨🌪💨🌬😂….not just the strength but the “switching” Just ready to hit, then wind changes dramatically……Augusta 12th has nothing on us! I felt I had done well to scrape -8 with bogies on 4 and 17, but then saw my H/C and Round 1 leaderboard😵💫🤯 No points coming this week 🫣😱 Pro’s will triumph I will bet☹️ Mel PS I hope Ginner does not play off +3 ? 😲 |
