I have just been informed that i have been selected to be 2023 Vice Captain and 2024 Captain at the club i have been a member of for many years. A Privilege i didn't expect but accepted the position. Just thought i would share this proud moment in my life fellas.

Well done Mel I will post pics after my "drive in" for sure, however ive been the team manager now for 2 seasons with mixed emotions each season, first season got us promoted but second we just got relegated. The Division we went into had some great players, some were ex tour pros and some ex club pros handicaps ranged from +5 to scratch in many cases, where as our team was +1 to 3. Difficult league but we will battle on i introduced a few of the younger players and to be fair they did well, our team is young and will develop together, looking forward to the challenge. I have some pictures from our promotion season i will put up soon. |

My golf has always been at “seniors” level, as I started around age 54 with a 24 starting H/C (never got lower than 14 H/C around 13 years ago just before turning 60)
Our seniors matches were (and still are) more social than our younger teams A and B who were in competitive leagues…..with single figure handicaps!
It does sound a bit more serious than the golf I have enjoyed. These days I just enjoy playing with those who’s company I enjoy……..rather like at this club 🤩
I’m sure you will be a success whatever the results.
