Round 1 - Well played Ian, very good opening score!! I had an ideal start with a birdie on #1, then followed a run of pars thanks to a couple of very good par-saving putts. Birdied the 8th and 9th, both par 5's, then failed to find the green in regulation on #10 leaving a tricky up and down for par. Unfortunately my internet went down so suspended the round until later today. Excellent course to start the season, thoroughly enjoying it. Will update this post when I finish the round... It wasn't the 10th, it was the 11th - and I didn't make par. I messed up the back 9 pretty well, didn't play as well as I had on the front, and had to make a miracle par on #18 for a level par round. Disappointing but I'm optimistic for the next 3 rounds...

Round 1 Took the old coot round with me to see how he scored a great round and it was a great round, well done Ian. i played good golf from tee to green then putted bloody awful, couple of shooters but no excuse for missing makeable 9 and 10 footers, i got closer putting from 70 feet than 10 feet. However i never give up and rallied with a decent last 7 holes to save the round. Onwards.

Round 2 - Benign conditions promised a good score, but I hadn't reckoned on my putting letting me down. Left a handful of birdie putts short, but at least it was looking like a 'clean' round. I should have known better, I was ambushed on #18 with a Very Fast on my approach and just failed to save my par. Highlight was an eagle on #16 when my 62-yard pitch from the rough tracked its' way into the cup. I saved the shot if you want to view it...

Round 2, Well one of them rounds when everything went in, especially on front 9, had a brain fart on hole 11 when i forgot to change club for approach shot and watched it sail over the green and failed to save par, then proceeded to birdie 6 of last 7 holes. This will obviously be my peak round, it can only go downhill from here.

was playing really well on the front then, got into a coughing session, kind of a follow up to all the chemo and totally lost focus in fact I thought I had finished, when I shut computer off then realized I had not putted out on 18 until this am - oh well still like the course.

Round 3 - Tough conditions that I was not looking forward to. Made a great birdie on #1 and was 4 under coming to #8 where my mouse button stuck to lose me a shot. Got it back on #11 but then poor putting on #13 and bad course management on #14 destroyed the round. Round 4 should be easier...

Round 4 - Did well on the front, even though I was fighting with my swing timing constantly. A weak putt on #11 cost me a bogey, got very lucky with my tee-shot on the short 14th and stole a birdie, satisfying bird on #15, and played #16 poorly. Enjoyed the week, and the course, a real keeper!! As they say... onwards!!
