DRAFT Proposal for new members to have a “Tour Playing Handicap” based on a combination of their official “The Golf Club 2019 with PGA Tour” and the “Handicap system” Ian controls
Welcome to our club. We are a group of members who enjoy games together, as close to real golf as computer gaming can allow. You will see the set ups for the competitions have restrictions in cameras and other information available more in line with real golf, and there is a “Tour Playing Handicap” for all members who wish to play in the “Champions Tour” schedule which runs for the whole season. The net scores of all participants are entered into the leaderboard against the actual PGA Champions Tour Pro players, as well as our club members. (See the thread “Champions Tour” schedule)
Your “Tour Playing Handicap” is created for new members and then continues to be adjusted accordingly with the system in place. Your starting “Tour Playing Handicap” will be calculated as follows. The default handicap is +3 which means your gross score has 3 shots added to give a net score into the leaderboard. This has seen to be a fair level of scoring against the actuals that were scored by the pros.
However, this default handicap will be adjusted as you join the “Champions Tour” as follows.
Your handicap shown in your profile by “The Golf Club” should reflect your current ability and form. This is then used as follows “ The Golf Club” H/C spread .…….> Your initial “Tour Playing Handicap” ( 0 up to 5 ) ……..> ( 0 ) ( 6 up to 10) ……..> ( +1 ) (11 up to 15 ) ……..> ( +2 ) (16 up to 20) ……..> ( +3 ) ( 21 up to 25) ……..> ( +4 ) ( 26 up to 30 ) ……..> ( +5 ) ( Over 30 ) ……..> ( +6 ) From then on your net scores are entered into the club’s “Handicap System” as explained in the thread “Handicaps” We have found this to be a “level playing field” system to compete against the real pros from the past tournaments and our current members. We hope you enjoy the experience and the “Champions Tour” Good luck and play well.
