Round 4 - Good scoring was possible as there was just a stiff breeze to combat, but the greens were bone dry and ultra quick so putts had to be carefully struck. Randy Grant and Les Souter both recorded their worst rounds of the week, 77 and 75 respectively, to bring an instantly forgettable week to a conclusion. Ian McKinley also struggled, ending the tourney as he had begun it, with a less than satisfactory 73 to finish mid-leaderboard. The best guest performance came from Bob Fletcher who, although he played consistently well all week, it wasn't quite good enough to capture another title. Bob also repeated his opening round score, a 69, which rewarded him with a share of 5th spot, four strokes behind the eventual winner, PGA pro David Toms who claimed the win from Mike Weir on the first play-off hole. Mention must be made of the course, which surely rates as one of the best we've seen on the 2000 schedule!
