Round 1 - Enjoyed this round, I feel as though my game has found a higher level. Only one error - a big one on #15, where the overhead does not clearly show a creek dividing the fairway, and I forgot all about it. On the tee I was wondering why this hole was meant to be the most difficult on the course - then I found out when my drive didn't quite get over the creek. Oh well, not a bad start in spite of that...

Round 2 - A tap-in birdie on the 1st turned out to be the only highlight of this round. Again I played solidly, but again I was missing birdie putts. Made a mess of the 8th after a poor tee shot, then after a bad drive on #9 I found water with my attempted punch approach. Avoided another double by ramming in a long putt. Steadied the ship on the back, missed more birdie putts, and the cherry on the cake was a miserable bogey on #18. Disappointing to say the least...

I have to say I think Deerhurst is a very underestimated course. Lots of variety, and the greens can be difficult but fair (from what I've seen so far). I remember playing it with Ian a long time ago when we were testing courses for the tour schedule, and we were both very pleasantly surprised by how well it played...

Round 3 Nice course, I like the greens, they give you a chance putting. Had a few one putt pars that helped. Couple boogers on the back kinda hurt.

Round 3 - played well clean card which was my goal - not a chance in H*** of winning with handicap at 4 - so set a goal of a clean card - achieved my goal so happy happy Decided to stay away from other societies because of their Chicken S**T set ups and really helped my game - more like real golf when you have to think out each shot.

Round 3 - Wasn't in the mood for this round, just wanted to get it played and gone. With no expectations I was happy to be at even par after 9, but then two bogeys knocked me back. Out of nowhere I birdied #13, the dangerous 14th, and the 15th, and finished with another bird on #18. Why couldn't I have played like this in Round 2?? Oh well...

Round 4 - Holed a 28-footer on #2 but clumsy birdie putts on #5 and #9 led to dropped shots, very annoying. A shooter putt on #13 led to a double, and a Very Fast off the tee saw my drive AGAIN find the creek on #15 and another bogey on the card. Enjoyed the course this week but not so much my general play, still making too many mistakes...

Round 4Promising start but couldn't hold it together on the back 9. I knew a fall from grace was near........Yup, to many mistakes coming in. I didn't have the feel I had with the first 3 rounds.......Something to think about
