Round 1 - Damp conditions, meaning sluggish greens, and just a light breeze faced the players today, so good scoring was a real possibility. Not for Randy Grant, however, who had all kinds of problems during his painful 77. Ian McKinley began the week solidly enough with a 69, while Les Souter was also well placed at the day's end after shooting a fine 67. Bob Fletcher has had ongoing swing problems for quite a while, but today was one of those rare rounds when everything seemed to click into place. He posted a stunning 62, spoiled by only one bogey, that coming on the par 3 16th, and led the field by four strokes going into Round 2...

Round 4 - We had the toughest conditions of the week for the final round, high wind and ultra-quick greens with difficult pins, so scoring was problematic. Charlie Roberts concluded an event to forget with his second 78, while Randy Grant's fighting 71 was his best effort of the tourney. Les Souter also carded a 71, his second of the tourney, to confirm his mid-leaderboard position, so his winning drought continues for another week. Ian McKinley has been very consistent this week and his second level par 72 of the tournament earned him a share of a respectable 21st place. Although Bob Fletcher's play had been a little erratic in the previous three rounds, he had hopes of overtaking Tiger Woods today to grab win number 2 of the season. But it soon became apparent that it wasn't going to be his day and a dispiriting 76 saw him drop from 2nd and into a tie for 5th spot. Overnight leader Tiger Woods extended his lead over the field from 3 to 5 strokes with a solid 70 to notch up his third title of 2000.
