Round 4 - Yesterday's rain had disappeared but the gusting winds remained, subsequently making the greens less sodden and slightly speedier. Bob Fletcher (75), Randy Grant (74) and Charlie Roberts (73) ended the week occupying the bottom three leaderboard positions so were glad to be moving on to a different course. Opening day leader Les Souter never recaptured that form in the next three rounds, but his second hard-earned 70 of the tourney left him in a share of 12th with Hans Kunok. Hans started the final day tied 2nd and with the win in his sights, but the wind got the better of him today and he could only post a disappointing 75. Ian McKinley was able to avoid any dropped shots in yesterday's strong winds, and he repeated that feat today, firing an admirable 68 that enabled him to leapfrog both tour pros Robert Allenby and Craig Stadler to claim a one-stroke victory!!! That makes three wins this season for Ian, adding to the Tucson Open and the Players Championship. Can anyone stop his seemingly relentless march towards further victories?!!
