Round 1 - After my best ever start to a tour round, birdie - eagle, I was very disappointed with my final score. Mistakes cost shots, as usual, and I missed quite a few birdie putts. I suppose it could have been worse. Always liked this course, whichever golf sim I've played it on, relishing the next rounds here...

I was having trouble with VF and VS all of a sudden - so I went to the range and switched to Master clubs (I find if I practice with Masters I can get my timing better - then when I went back to play round two - I forgot to change back to pro. OH well between the shakes and stupidity - shot a terrible round   |

Round 2 - Very shaky start, but things changed on the par 5 5th when my driver off the fairway stopped 2 feet short of the cup to leave a simple, and welcome, eagle. Didn't play too badly after that, but again missed a load of putts. The cherry on the cake was when I duffed a simple chip on #18. At least I survived...

Round 1
Had a great front 9. A miscalculation on my approach to #10 left me behind the green and a TV tower......... That slowed my momentum for the back 9

Round 1 Took the awld coot for a walk steady round but out done by Ian.  Round 2 Again played with the awld coot game of 2 halves, front 9 great back 9 not so great double on 11 from nowhere and annoying snot on 12.  |

R1 and R2, good ball-striking, mostly Perfect, Perfect 100%. Putting was atrocious at times. Left a 7-footer short on the very first hole. When I left a 9-inch putt short and it rolled back (drew the putter back too, not one of those blip swings), I realized the greens were not running fast as advertised in R1. They were barely running moderate. I adjusted and started hitting the ball harder. Managed to make some good putts coming in, including long putts on 17 and 18 to retrieve R1. More putting woes in R2; made the same adjustment. Played the greens as somewhat fast, not very fast and putted better until Hole 15 which I can't blame on anything or anyone except myself. Also hung a 5-iron up into the headwind and found the water on 4; good swing, just mid-judged the wind there. Birdied the last to take away some of the sting. I can't hit the ball much better right now. But my putting remains an unsolved crime.   |

R3 and R4. Looks like Ian tried to join me on the front side. Fortunately, he was behind me and did not have to watch me play or help me find my ball. I was all over the course. Very inconsistent play on my part. At times I seemed to know what I was doing. At other times, I could have played the course better with the clubs in my closet. On to next week.   |

The putter was on fire except I missed a short par putt on #13.

Round 3. Steady start then a snot from nowhere but still a decent front 9, back 9 started well then i hit a par rut and couldn't get out of it, could not buy a putt on last 8 holes.  |

Round 3 - Drove well, approaches were better than normal, but my putting was again woeful. Hit a great tee on #17, then missed the 6-footer for birdie - very annoying!!
