Round 1 - Not much to say except that I played abysmally, how I carded my one birdie remains a mystery. Les played very well and was rewarded with a very good score. Terry didn't bring his A-game today and a disappointing round resulted. I didn't bring my A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, or O games, and my P-game (pitiful) just wasn't good enough for anything. Can't wait for the next 3 rounds hehe...

Round 2 - played this one solo as I tend to play better that way. I find it's easier to find a rhythm than if waiting for two other players to play. Anyway, I was really pleased with the front nine, a big improvement on Round 1. The 13th was the turning point, a bad hole, and followed that by messing up yet another par 5 - so annoying. Another bogey followed on #15, steadied the ship by parring #16, then I inexplicably pushed my drive OOB on #17 (I almost always draw or pull it) - that was a real kick in the guts lol. Scraped a bogey on #18 and was glad to get off the course! Oh well, only 2 rounds to play...

Round 2 Found this round very frustrating because i played pretty well for most of the round just could not sink a putt, missed a few short ones , the worst hole was the 5th where i took a 7 with a 4 putt, found moderate greens unpredictable with either to fast or breaks breaking to much and in some cases not at all. Terry had similar experiences to me but managed an under par round, but again the course gave us nothing tonight. But thats Golf onto round 3.

Round 3 - looked forward to slow greens, but not the wind. Had a mixed front nine but made the turn in level par - so far, so good. Held it together until the 18th - what a monster that hole is!! Had a long par putt and rolled it way past, eventually taking a double. Was happy with the 72 though, feeling a lot better lol. Ian came along for the ride and to try out Master clubs...

Round 4 - as expected, struggled badly on the greens today, but had nothing to play for really so was just some practice. In 3 or 4 years I might be able to hole a putt from outside 10 feet LOL. Actually I did birdie the monster par 3 11th, courtesy of a wide curling putt that somehow found the cup! Great course it has to be said - next week's should be a little easier I think...

To the best of my knowledge this is the current leaderboard after Round 3. Mark Black is 5 strokes clear of Hale Irwin, but himself trails David Stevenson, the tournament leader, by the same margin. Will David hang on to win the first event of the tour? Or will we witness a Greg Norman style collapse on the final day?! The final leaderboard will be posted on Monday morning...

Here it is!! The final leaderboard and many congratulations to DAVID STEVENSON, our first tour event winner!! Timmy Bones, Mark Black and Peter Piper all performed well, while Terry Baldwin, Charlie Roberts and Martin V Page were the only other 'guests' to end the week under par. Juan Aetee produced four fairly consistent rounds to finish at +2 and, while Les Souter's opening round promised much, he faded as the tourney progressed. Robert Ross was in contention at the halfway mark but inexplicably collapsed after that point. Hans Kunok and Mark Johns were others who showed some consistency, just not consistently low enough. Ian McKinley struggled with his game, especially in the final round, and Bob Fletcher had a week to forget and can only get better...
