Round 2
I had a bad start, missed a couple easy putts as with #14 and #18, missed two 5 footers; I hit it to hard and popped them out of the hole.
Rode along with Les, not a bad round except for a couple pulls and pushes...... Les almost had an ACE on #13, another quarter inch to the left and it was in..... Nice shot Les.
Fellas, how do you get your scorecard screenshots bigger ?

Round 1 - An up and down round, inconsistent really. One water ball, on the 12th, but did well to save par. Still making too many mistakes. Made a very good bird on #17 with my best putt of the round, then gave the shot back on #18 with a poor approach and third. Still a work in progress...

A Tale of Two Cities tonight...well golfers. I shot like +15 in R1. Had some real bad luck on the front 9 with some bad shots that made getting up and down difficult. But as bad as my score was, I felt like I was striking the ball pretty well and my putting was solid for a change. So I decided to go ahead with R2. A different story. I guess it's going to be like this for a while. Getting the timing right with the mouse swing is a challenge. But, when it comes together, I can shoot a decent round like R2 tonight. Onward.

Round 2 - Another inconsistent round with poor putting, never a recipe for success. The only thing I did well was driving, but that doesn't guarantee birdies on the card. Found water on #11 and #17 which was very disheartening. However, we soldier on to Round 3 to see what delights fate has in store for me...

Perfect start until I had to putt. Drove it 312 middle of fwy; hit approach to around 12 ft. Exploding putt way past the pin. Seeing red and forget to change LW to chip and hit one about 60 yards; scrambled for a triple, lol. Settled down after that; I think the exploding putts happen when I draw the putter back too fast; not sure. Played a solid round after 1 with a disappointing finish. Hit the ball really well and my putting stabilized. Was between clubs on 17; played a high shot - always a bad choice in high wind - hit the wooden ties at the front of the green and bounced to the back of the green; three putted from there. Ended like I started - perfect drive to middle of fwy; approach shot to around 20 ft; exploding putt up against the wooden ties. I discovered they affect the next shot; perfect chip darted left and short and rolled all the way back and up against the wooded ties again; repeat with a stronger club; darts left again and left with a long putt. That's golf I guess. Onward.

Did not give myself many birdie opportunities this round. High winds and slick greens combined to make par a good score...at least for me. So I just tried to keep it out of the ditch. Hit a lot of good shots....just not on 17 where a slow swing dumped my tee shot into the drink. Made par with the second ball, but that meant a 5. All in all, played a little better this week.

Round 3
I threw in several mistakes from trying a pitch but forgot to change the shot from normal to pitch and couple water balls along the way.

Round 3 - Set out with a new intention; to enjoy the course, and I did. My driving was particularly good again, and a couple of early birdie putts grazed the cup but my first birdie, on the 6th, came from a chip-in. Played solidly, almost holing a couple more chips, and after a good drive and approach to #18 a clean round looked on the cards, but I 3-putted to card my only bogey - very irritating. Still, enjoyed the round and progress has been made...
