Just wanted to thank you for what is a great idea - playing against the scores of yester-year, against the pros of the good old days.
It really is a wonderful idea and very different from anything i have seen.
Its great to be able to combine the society on TGC 19 and this forum.
I am really enjoying my time here and everyone has been so friendly - long may it continue

Many thanks for the kind words! And to hear how much you're enjoying the tour makes all the background work worthwhile, and I'm sure Ian thinks the same, as he's put a lot of effort into the calculation of handicaps and getting this forum looking good. If 2K21 hadn't come along when it did I think we'd have a lot more players here, but the timing of its release was very unfortunate.
As for the idea behind it, well, it is really a progression from an idea I had at the Perfect Golf PGLS site - which is still being played over there I believe, but not completely how I envisaged it, but that's another story.
The beauty of it is that we can replay ANY tournament on ANY tour - as long as the original leaderboard is available. I even thought about contacting one of the big golf game developers and sounding them out about using the PLAYPGATOUR concept. I reckon it would be very popular. The PGA Tour, the European Tour, Korn Ferry, Sunshine Tour, and even the Champions Tour are all playable!!
The only difficulty is setting the conditions so that the real scores from the real event are on the same level as our 'guest' scores, but generally it's panned out pretty well I think.
I hope to move PLAYPGATOUR over to 2K21 at the end of this year, and I already have a particular season in mind...
