Round 1 - Firstly, a word about the course at The Ace Club. It is now one of my favourites as it has everything - undulations, variety, water but not too much, greens that are not too extreme, risk/reward, and good course management is required to score well. Ok, preaching over. Our early leader is Nate Arteezy who displayed admirable skills during his excellent 64, and he will be hoping to at least maintain, if not extend, his 3-stroke lead. Rookie Barney Buss shot a solid enough 68 and is tied 4th with Bob Fletcher and a couple of PGA pro's, namely Charles Coody and Billy Casper. Open Championship winner Ian McKinley started out with a 70 today and could still be suffering from a celebration hangover...

Round 4 - Forget the previous leaderboard. Due to some late starters it now has a completely different appearance! Storming through to win his first tournament in only his second outing was OLLY JOSE-MARIA. Rounds of 64, 66, 68 and 70 gave Olly a 4-shot winning margin and demonstrated that he will be a force to be reckoned with in future events. In the runner-up spot was Hans Kunok who was level with Olly at the halfway point. Nate Arteezy squeezed into 4th place by shooting the joint best round of the final day, a 66. In fact, Nate, Olly and Hans all had the honour of carding the best round score of the tourney with scorching 64's on the opening day. Bob Fletcher's 71 was good enough to claim a share of 5th spot, while Barney Buss's 71 saw him finish a creditable 7th. Back in 23rd was Ian McKinley who hit an out of sorts 73, while Mark Lipping also struggled to find any form, carding a 72 today which meant he failed to break 70 all week, very unusual for Mark. Randy Grant is slowly improving, finishing tied 54th at 5 over par, but he is gradually getting there...
