Round 4 - Going into the final round only one guest player had a realistic chance of winning this event - Bob Fletcher. Three consistent rounds had left him with the not insurmountable task of making up four strokes on the leader, and today's round conditions were favourable - it was just the pin positions that would provide a few headaches. As it turned out, Bob maintained his consistency but it wasn't high enough to claim victory. His closing round of 67 left him two shots short of forcing a play-off with Dave Hill, this week's winner, and he had to make do with 5th spot. Ian McKinley also fired a 67 today, his third of the event, a score that rewarded him with a share of 23rd, and how he must be regretting his poor third round. Mark Lipping looked completely out of sorts on his way to a 77 and 76th spot, while late starter Charlie Roberts (welcome back bud!) played well for the first three rounds but slumped to an 84 today, leaving him anchored at the bottom of the leaderboard alongside Jack Lewis Junior. So the professionals have won the last three events - can the guests break the sequence and find a win at Quail Hollow this coming week?
