Round 4 - Once again the guest players came away empty-handed. Colonial certainly bared its' teeth as only 6 of the PGA Tour pros broke par over the four rounds. The winner was HOMERO BLANCAS, his first tour victory since winning the 1966 Seattle-Everett Open. Blancas put it all together to edge out Lee Trevino and Gene Littler by a single shot. Happily, for Romero, a tip from Trevino helped immeasurably. "I told Homero he should move through the ball faster from the waist down," said Trevino. Blancas did and reported thet the tip helped him hit a slight fade instead of a hook. Said Trevino "I'm proud of Homero, but my little lesson cost me about $12,000!"Randy Grant, 84 today (score not age!), and Mark Lipping with a 79, both had weeks they will want to forget in a hurry. Ian McKinley's 76 left him in a tie for 44th place, which meant that the 'best of the guests' was Bob Fletcher who concluded the event with a 74 to finish in a share of 34th spot. This week's winner, HOMERO BLANCAS
