Round 4Gary Player had recorded the best round of the week, a scintilating 63, in Round 2, and he rediscovered that form in the final round, coming in with a fighting 65, the best effort of the final day. That put tournament leader Mark Lipping, who himself had posted the best score in Round 3, a 67, under a little bit of pressure, but he held on by shooting a 69 to claim victory by just 2 strokes from the legendary South African. Ian McKinley signed off with his best round of the event, a 67, to finish in a tie for 12th, while Bob Fletcher limped home with a 75, still suffering with putting problems, which left him in a tie for 32nd. Randy Grant, to his credit, never gave up and hit a closing 82, but I know Randy will be back with much better scores soon...
