Round 1 - The three 'guests' who have started so far all fared pretty well on the opening day. Bob Fletcher's 69 sees him tied for 11th with the likes of Hale Irwin and Lee Trevino. Mark Lipping shot a 68 to finish in a six-way tie for 5th, but the best performance was produced by veteran Ian McKinley, who belied his recent health problems by carding a praiseworthy 66. That puts him in a tie for second, because the best round of the day, so far, came from Bob Menne who hit a stunning 64. With so much water in play on the course, however, anything could still happen...

Round 3 - Ian McKinley's 71 today was enough to maintain his top position, but his lead has been cut to just 2 strokes now. PGA Pro's Bob Menne and Lee Trevino lurk menacingly on Ian's shoulder ready to take advantage of any slip-ups in the concluding round, as does Mark Lipping, the tour's in-form player, who made a move by firing the round of the week, a brilliant 63. Roger Instell stays 4 shots off the pace after he matched Ian's 71, a score also posted by Bob Fletcher who stays well down the field. The surprise round of the day, and not in a good way, came from Juan Aetee when he stumbled into the scorer's tent with a catastrophic 86!! Reports have been received that excessive visits to the beer tents may be responsible, but this is yet to be confirmed...
