Round 1Well, I was in the zone on the front, all parts of my game were working. The 13th was a big disappointment - found the correct level with my long approach but then proceeded to 4-putt for a bogey, instead of the easy birdie it should have been. Fantastic start for me, hopefully I can build on it...

Round 1 Got off to an awful start again, i dont know if its just me but moderate settings just dont work for me, your hitting into a high wind and the ball travels the distance of the club, that defies physics, and have i ever mentioned the moderate green speed  . First 10 holes were rank but rallied when i seen Bob Woods score  Onwards.  |

Round 2 Took FAP with me on this round and he was solid all the way round. Played well for most of round then had a dodgy spell on 13,14 and 15. The 15th spoilt my clean hanky by me playing a poor approach leaving a 60 footer which i hit way to hard and off the back of the green, hit pin with my chip but it didn't go inll in all a decent round.  |

Round 2I was happy with a solid front as I'd expected some kind of backlash from my super opening effort. All was good until I came to that 13th green again where I had another 4-putt. That knocked my confidence and I had to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat towards the end of the round to avoid dropping any more shots. Still in contention at halfway - I'll take that...

Round 3Took me 4 holes to realise this was going to be a very tough round. Careless bogey on #1, a double on #3 where the scary pin placement caught me out, and another dropped shot on #4. I managed to rally with 3 birdies, only to fall foul of the monster par 4 9th. Pulled another shot back on #10 with a well-judged approach - but the horrible 13th green beat me up again and I carded a double. Missed good birdie chances on #15 and #16, then messed up #17 with an over-aggressive chip. Could and should have been a lot better, but the course definitely got the better of me today...

rd 3 Happy with the round - had a nasty rocket putt on 17 that turned into a double other than that was OK  |

Round 3 Disaster struck early in round, i could not get the ball near the hole, had a 6 footer for par and ended up with a gigantic snot 11, tournament over for me, target after that was to try get level par for round but failed miserably on that too. Onwards.  |

Round 4 Started slow then the round burst into action, highlight was my ace on hole 11 ( mind it was a good job the flag got in the way ) a 3 putt snot on 17 ruined a clean card. Onwards to next week.  worth a watch |
