This is going to be a very tough week, both for the pros and the guests.
The challenging French Lick course in Indiana will be brutal, and not only because it is very LONG!!!

Round 1 - After a terrible start I knuckled down and concentrated. In the main I hit the ball well and my putting was better than usual, but I rarely get any 'run' on the greens - and today was no exception. Could easily have had 2 or 3 more birds, but I'm very happy with my score as this is a very tough track!!

Round 1A promising start kinda faded after a few holes. I knew I'd have problems on this track, not so much as hitting the fairways as the putting. I'm not a bumpy green putter........Wait, I'm not a flat green putter either! :-) Oh' Dear! On to round 2!

My goal on this course was a clean card - I love this course - never made one putt but achieved my goal, which is all I personally care about.  |

an unfortunate outing for me. Really struggled staying on the fairways which resulted in a lot of difficult approach shots sitting on steep slopes. We will see if I'm able to play within myself and the gained knowledge of the course will result in better outcomes! |

Round 2 - Much better off the tees, found myself in much better positions to give myself a chance, whether or not I capitalize on those chances is up for debate lol.  |

Round 2Putting was the main problem today. Made a dog's dinner on #6 but that wasn't a putting problem - bogeys on #7 and #8 were. The bird on #18 made the round more palatable, but I really should have done better...

Round 1 Very tricky and long course this one played it well but missed a few makeable putts as usual.  Round 2 Much better concentration this round and putting was a lot better. Managed a clean card for a change.  |

Round 3
No scorecard, sorry!
After my lack of concentration and trying to squeeze a round in, I ended up with a +6
Nothing seemed to be working besides my driver.
Rimming at least 3 putts took their toll on my psychic ability to read the greens :-)
Where's Martin Ramshaw when you need him ?

I HEAR YA JARED!!! LOLRound 3I didn't settle at all until the 7th hole, at which point it became all about damage limitation. Thank goodness my chip on #4 found the bottom of the cup, because without that I was in serious danger of walking off the course! Surprisingly, from the 7th onwards I was pretty solid, making some good pars and missing my usual quota of birdie putts. Looking at those first six holes, I'm ecstatic to score what I did - but I'm not looking forward to Round 4. I'll need to find the right mindset from the very first hole for that...

Haven't played in a while; been busy with doctor appointments. Played all 4 rounds in one sitting tonight; did not play too badly considering the long layoff. Managed an ACE which you can find in the Saved Shots thread. French Lick has some narrow fairways, and particularly on the second shots of the par 5s. I finally just started shooting at the flag on those and played out of the rough. I will try to play more tournaments. Experiencing the first serious health challenge of my life, so still adjusting to the new normal. Sorry, did not save any scorecards. I wasn't sure if I would play the entire tournament; expected to play only a round or two, I but decided to finish it.
