Round 2 Joined Ian for round 2, and what a stupid round i had, bogied the par 3 4th after hitting driver off tee and watched as my ball was still climbing as it flew over the flag stick, fired back with 4 birds to give me a decent front 9. Started back 9 ok then low and behold had another brain fart on the par 3 12th, you guessed it hit my bloody driver again and watched as the ball sailed 70 yards thru the green, bogied the next then hit back with couple of tweeters, and then a stupid 3 putt on 18, bit of a mish mash round. The greens were tricky even Ian had a few get away from him. Onwards.

Round 2 - A real mish-mash of a round. Timing issues again, putted well on some greens but not on others. Inconsistency was the name of my game, but I played the last 6 holes well, making a couple of good par-saving putts and bagging a couple of birdies. The highlight was my 64-foot downhill eagle putt on the 11th which dribbled into the cup.

Round 2 I had a good one going on the front and then lost my putter on 10. I never recovered!

This is a really easy set up - you guys will kill it - for some reason I just don't play well on easy settings kind of lost interest part way through or maybe just losing interest in the game, anyway I expect to see some 59's with this set up - I am looking forward to the US open - my only goal now for this tourny is to shoot all four in the 60's.

Round 3 I have to totally disagree with Ian regarding these settings, 1 High winds that work when they feel like it. 2 The most inconsistent green speed on the game, one putt is very slow on one hole then the next hole it acts like very fast If Ian found these easy then fair play to him he plays a better game than us, i found them horrendous as my back 8 holes show, one minute im playing steady the next nothing i did worked, the one thing Ian did get right is the interest in the game im losing it fast.

Round 3 - For some reason I felt completely at ease starting this round. Normally I get a bit up tight, but not this time, and it showed in my play. Had a solid front, great start on the back with a birdie on #10, then the par 5 11th was kind to me again when my sand-shot found the cup for eagle. Had a couple of wobbles after that, but finished well on #18 with a textbook bird after an unusually accurate approach. Just got to hold it together for one more round...

R2, played the best I have in several tournaments. Started with Pro Clubs for this tourney, and they have helped my inconsistent timing; putted well too. Didn't see Randy, so not sure how he got on my scorecard.

Round 4 First round this week I remembered to change my driver on #10 Several skimmers just by the cup this round, I couldn't find the right line all week for putting. Couple putting shooters on the back side but, I'll take it as a pretty good round for me

Round 4 - This round was a little rough around the edges but I hit the ball quite well generally. Missed a couple of putts I perhaps should have sunk, and the highlight was my 6-iron approach to the 13th which clattered the pin to leave an 8-inch birdie tap-in. A good week for me, love the course, and good preparation for next week's big one...

R3 and R4. Should have played all 4 rounds last night while I had good swing timing. No timing nor could I putt in R3, a complete disaster. A little better in R4, but still not as good as yesterday. Onwards.
