R3. I decided to come over to the Dark Side. Just played R3 with Pro Clubs. I am sacrificing some distance, but with these gale force winds at my back I was still launching some monster drives; better yet, they were going straight. But it was my iron play that was driving me crazy. The Pro Clubs seem to have fixed those problems. Thanks Randy for your advice. This was a better solution than working through the mysteries of swing timing with the Master Clubs. Onward.

Round 2 - Not as bad I was expecting, I was hitting the ball quite well but it was looking like a birdie-free round until I got to #18. Faced with a 46-foot left-to-right uphill birdie putt that turned a little downhill just before the cup, I nearly passed out when it dribbled into the cup. Couldn't help but laugh, it was like the course was giving me a reward for even attempting this round. Not feeling so bad now...

R4. Some tough sledding out there in this round. Lost all my strokes on putts (two of them were 3-footers, but I almost fell over both times taking my stance on the severe slope), and, despite the steep slopes, I putted reasonably well most of the round. Glad these pin positions were not used in the earlier firm, fast and very fast rounds. We would all be out there with flashlights looking for where our putts quit rolling. So I'm happy with this round. My swing was way more predictable, and I hit the ball well. No random slows or fasts. The game is a lot more fun when you feel like your swing is solid and, if you hit a bad shot, you know why and what to correct. On to next week.

Round 3 - After a birdie on #1 I had visions of a par round. How naive of me. Several dropped shots, most due to Very Fast swing disasters, and one more birdie later, I had what I should have expected - another gross 80. Oh well, only one more round to go...

Round 3
Started to lose it on 7 then two water balls on 13 and a few over putts sorta decided the round.

Round 4 - I actually enjoyed this round up to the 14th hole, then things went south. Even after dropping shots on #14, #15 and #16 I had a good chance of a net under-par round. But on #17 I was chatting to Nick and lost concentration, took a driver for a 93-yard approach, and that was that. My fault but still very annoying! Hey ho, on we go...

round four - was tossed if I could even play - vision is so bad after Thursday treatment - but decided lets go do it - wicked conditions I had trouble finding the line but satisficed with finishing this tournament under par gross score with these conditions, I believe the only one under par - next week will be a challenge for me unless things improve after next two treatments - but I am no quitter onward.
