This course demands a lot of concentration; no place to relax. Except for a couple of par 3's I played pretty well. Should have hit more club on number 4; did not even make the front bunker. Hit my second on to the green, but 3-putted from there. Made what I thought was a perfect swing on 16, only to find that it was a slow; landed in the water. Re-teed and hit the next one on to the green; 3-putted again. Except for those two holes, I am fairly satisfied with my round on this course. Getting more comfortable with the mouse swing; scrambling better when I hit bad shots. I made pars out of the trees 2 or 3 times, including a nice one-putt par on 11. Putting remains somewhat unpredictable.  |

R2, great start, 3 under after 2. Then settled into a par run, only one bogey on the front. Got to 13, hit a perfect draw around the corner, leaving about 157 to the flag and lying one in the fairway; tin cupped it 3 times into the creek; exact same shot each time slow at bottom very fast at top; landing in the same spot in the creek. Finally got on the green and 2-putted, but the damage was already done at that point - 9 shots to cover 157 yards and get into the cup; limped in from there. Too bad; otherwise I played well.  |

Round 1
I couldn't get out of the sand on #7. Too short for a flop and too steep for a chip.......Finally blasted a flop but the damage was done. I had a nice come back to get to +1

Round 1 - This course will always find your shortcomings, but dropping shots on 7 holes is very disappointing. Just 2 highlights really - I played the par 5's very well, getting birds on all 4 of them, and sinking a 36-footer for bird on #17. Apart from those, I struggled...

Close but no cigar. I played this course about as well as I can in R4 on the front 9, making the putts I had to make. Battled my swing all the way around; this is the only time I have ever played where the swing timing in the game seemed dramatically different from the driving range. I finally started taking practice swings before each shot because the timing on each shot was so unpredictable from hole to hole. I thought about ending the round, rebooting and resuming, but continued playing instead. Played 15 conservatively all week, never going for the green in two. Hit my third shot on 15 in R4 to the green and it rolled back to front edge. 5 putts later I was in the hole. In the end, my putting failed me on 15. Made a bonehead mistake on 18; hit the fairway bunker on my tee shot, hit the front bunker on my approach, then proceeded to hit the flop out of the front bunker to save par and forgot to change to flop. We've all done it I guess; just a bad time to make a mistake; cost me 1 or 2 strokes. On to next week.  |

Round 2 - My first error came on the 3rd and cost me a stroke, but I was really focussed in this round and scrambled very well. Almost chipped in on #8 for an eagle but had to make do with a bird, and came very close to a birdie on #9 but left the putt on the edge. Messed up #10 after a poor approach and got punished, but hung in there, and scrambled pars on the final 3 holes for one of my best showings, if not the best showing, here. Still in the hunt, but I still need to cut down on my mistakes. Enjoyed getting a decent score (for me) for a change, now I need two more...

Round 3 - I thought it was going to be my day when I drained a 49-foot double-breaking birdie putt on the 1st, but I should have known better. Continued the perfect start with another bird on #2 - then reality kicked in with 3 bogeys in a row. Parred my way to the turn, bogeyed #10 after getting a horrible lie in a bunker, made a great bird on #17 with a 2-foot tap-in, then messed up #18 to finish. Not a bad round, but it's pin 4 on the final day...YAY! hehe

HAHAHAHAHA!! Yes, I noticed your ball (s? lol) flying through the air so removed you from my round. I've no idea why it happens - I certainly didn't 'add' you to my game and I assume you didn't 'add' me to yours, so who knows?!
