Round 1 - Tried to take more care around the greens and with putting. I came unstuck on 2 of the first 4 holes, 3 of which were among the most difficult this course has to offer. After that I went on a run of pars, narrowly missing 3 birdie attempts, 4 if you include a chip. Finally got a reward on #17, but even a lot of shortish putts aren't straightforward. Another long week in prospect hehe...

Round 1 Not expecting anything good from me this week, took an instant dislike to the course and it showed with my start, fought back but again really struggling with putter, score was probably saved by a couple of chip ins, roll on next week. Onwards.  |

Round 2. Took the old coot with me to see if i could beat his score, again not the best of starts but held on for a -1 front 9, back 9 got me act together spoilt by a blip on hole 12.Strong finish. Didn't beat him but matched him. Good round Ian. Onwards.  |

Round 2 - A totally unpredictable round. Started with a double, then grabbed 4 birds, and finished the front with a bogey and a triple. Putting again the culprit. I was a little more consistent on the back but failed to convert the few birdie chances I had, apart from one. What's next week's course...?

Fast greens got me, plus a ravine on 15 sucked all the life I had left to finish

Round 3 Mediocre start to this round tried to emulate the old coots fine 61 but it was way to good for my game, a disappointing front 9. The back 9 got off to a great start and a great finish, happy with that. Not my week this week looks like the old coot might be favourite. Onwards.  |

Round 3 - Just about found my swing rhythm just in time for this round. An average round, holed a couple of good birdie putts but missed a few others. I used to push my putts, now I seem to pull them, next week who knows?! I was expecting worse pins for Pin 4, but the course still played tough - for me anyway. One to go...
