Round 1 - From his very first shot, a drive that was pulled into trees, I could see that Mark had left his normally excellent game in his hotel room. He struggled to find the pace of the greens and will do well to get back to the leaders, but that's something he is well capable of doing. Although I also bogeyed the 1st, I played well on the rest of the back and even my putting was pretty good. The exception was the 9th, where I should have accepted a bogey but 4-putted for a triple, the one hole I really messed up. I was quite solid on the back and even holed out from a bunker on the 15th to grab a priceless birdie. Very happy with my play and my score in what were very difficult conditions.

Rd 1
All in all I played pretty good, a couple bad choices from the fringe and the 9th hole otherwise not bad.

Had some frustrating moments but I did manage to finish the round with 5 clubs left in the bag - my driver is now on a cruise ship, and my putter is in a sand bunker on 11 - in two pieces, 1 and 2 irons are in some ones pool - other than that a pretty fair round.

I think that was the toughest test we've seen, except for some anomalies. Bob's short game was exceptional! Good for him because hitting greens was pretty much impossible. Bob had a pitch on the back landed 5 yds off front of green then trickled 40 ft to within feet, really nice. Hope it gets a little more scorable as the week progresses. M Maybe its the golf cart

Did not make a par until the 10th hole; glad the greens were not fast. Some of those pins would have been devilish with faster greens.

Poor concentration in R2; playing too fast. Read a putt on H5 as being one foot "downhill" when in actuality it was "uphill." Led to a rather lengthy second putt.

Round 2 - Never got over my bad start, played better on the back but every shot seemed to go slightly wrong, and that included putts. A round to forget, at least I finished on a high with a bird on #18 after missing my eagle chance. Mark (Mongo lol) played better than in Round 1, but his putter was also misfiring. The highlight was a great eagle on the 6th, I expected great things after that hole, but it never happened for Mark. Tough, but very good, course!!!

R3. Managed the course better this round and stayed out of any serious trouble. They may need to repaint the cups; I burned the edge of most of them this round; only made one challenging putt.

Too many mistakes in R4; I shot myself in the foot so many times this tournament, I am virtually toeless. Great course and great setup this tournament. Challenging but fair.

Round 3 - Had an unheard of start to the round, 2 birdies in the first 2 holes! Reached the turn at level par and was quite happy to do so. Had a great bird on #10, bogeyed #11, then parred my way in, missing some tricky birdie putts in the process. Considering the weather, I'm very pleased with this effort...
